A 2-hour workshop on anatomy, alignment and hands-on adjustments
How can we support another body in an asana? How do we understand movement, recognise individual differences and use touch to guide with awareness?
Join us for a practical and explorative workshop dedicated to the art and mechanics of hands-on adjustments. Through anatomy, movement principles and partner work, we'll explore how to approach asanas beyond their external shape, developing a deeper understanding of alignment, body mechanics and the ways we can assist others safely and effectively.
The workshop combines theoretical insights with practical exploration, giving you the opportunity to both give and receive adjustments, experiment with different approaches and develop confidence in using your hands with intention, sensitivity and respect for each individual's body.
Meet your teachers
Paolo
Paolo is a qualified 500-hour Vinyasa teacher, with additional 50-hour certifications in Yin Yoga and Anatomy. After spending almost two years living in Bali and working at a yoga school, he dedicated himself to deepening his understanding of asanas and, in particular, the science of hands-on adjustments.
Now bringing his expertise and experience to Amsterdam, Paolo hopes to inspire others and share practical approaches to assisting in asana, with a focus on anatomical awareness, precision, caution and reassurance.
Cecilia
Cecilia is a certified 200-hour Vinyasa Yoga teacher, with an additional 75-hour Rocket Yoga training. With a background in classical ballet and as a Pilates teacher, she brings a multidisciplinary understanding of movement, alignment, body mechanics and body awareness.
Her teaching is rooted in breath-led movement, mindful observation and the understanding that every body is different. Drawing from her experience across different movement practices, she approaches hands-on adjustments as an opportunity to support rather than impose, helping practitioners explore their own range of movement with curiosity, precision and confidence.
