🌿 Movement, Connection, Direction & Finding Your Center 🌿
Are you ready to deepen your journey of movement, dance, self-discovery, and authentic connection?
Feel welcome to join our 2-part Contact Beyond Contact (CBC) Deepening Series, where dance and movement become a pathway to explore our inner world, discover our patterns, and open up to new ways of relating to ourselves, others, and life.
Contact Beyond Contact is a movement and dance practice that invites us to connect with our body, mind, and heart. It weaves together elements of somatics, mindfulness, contact improvisation, meditation, qigong, yoga, authentic movement, and passing through.
Through movement, we create space to explore our beliefs, patterns, and coping mechanisms, give expression to what lives within us, and discover new possibilities for connection, freedom, and transformation.
✨ CBC Deepening Series — 1 & 8 November
In these two workshops, we'll dive deeper into different aspects of ourselves and how we move through life.
Together, we'll explore our relationship with goals and obstacles, letting go, giving and receiving support, and finding our center as we navigate everyday life, relationships, and different situations.
Through movement, dance, embodied exploration, and connection, we invite you to experience these themes beyond words — discovering how they live in your body, influence your relationships, and shape the way you meet life.
Who can join?
This series is open to everyone, whether you've experienced CBC before or are completely new to the practice. Some previous experience with CBC or conscious movement/dance can help you dive into the explorations more easily, but it's not required. Curiosity and openness to explore are enough.
If you'd like to get familiar with CBC beforehand, you're warmly invited to our [Introduction Workshop on Sunday, 25 October](
https://hipsy.nl/event/257693-contact-beyond-contact-introduction-workshop-amsterdam). You can also join all three workshops as a complete journey.
🌱 Sunday, 1 November | 17:30–20:00
Moving Through Obstacles — Letting Go & Moving Forward
How do we relate to our goals, intentions, and the obstacles we encounter along the way? What happens when life doesn't move in the direction we hoped for? Can we discover new ways of meeting challenges, releasing what holds us back, and moving forward?
We'll begin with a **Non-Linear Movement Method** practice, inviting us to connect with our bodies, release tension, and open up to whatever wants to be felt, seen, or processed. From this embodied space, we'll move into CBC explorations around obstacles, resistance, letting go, and transformation.
✨ Explore how you relate to your goals, intentions, and the obstacles along your path
✨ Discover your patterns of responding to challenges and resistance
✨ Practice letting go of what no longer serves you and opening up to new possibilities
✨ Experience moving through obstacles with more awareness, flexibility, and trust
🌸 Sunday, 8 November | 10:00–12:30
The Dance of Support — Finding Your Center & Letting Go
What does it mean to truly feel supported? How do we give and receive support, and what happens when the support we rely on is no longer available?
In this workshop, we'll explore our relationship with support — from others, from ourselves, and from life. We'll investigate how to stay connected to our center in everyday interactions and relationships, learning to receive without clinging, offer without losing ourselves, and meet different situations with less resistance.
We'll begin with an Authentic Movement practice, creating space for deep listening, inner awareness, and allowing movement to emerge from within.
✨ Explore your patterns of giving, receiving, and asking for support
✨ Deepen your capacity to support yourself and remain centered, even when things around you feel turbulent
✨ Discover how you respond when support is unavailable or withdrawn, and explore new ways of relating to these experiences
✨ Practice non-resistance and letting go, creating more space to respond rather than react
These workshops are not just about dance, but about discovering ourselves through movement, connection, play, and embodied experience.
Together, we'll create space to slow down, explore, feel, experiment, and discover new possibilities for how we move through life.
