Jung called the masculine archetypal energy in woman the Animus and the feminine in man the Anima.

The modern woman by definition has a negative Animus. That's because she's being asked to be like men from the collective. But while she has a masculine energy, the "man" inside her is not the same as the man outside. So how do we get to know the masculine in us? How do we transform the "something" outside of us that often causes us discomfort, if not trouble, into a part of us that we integrate and serve us to be who we are.

For wholeness, health and self-realization, uniting the feminine and masculine within us is essential according to the teachings of CG Jung.
If you as a woman suffer from a negative self-image, low self-confidence, and relationship problems, then shadow work to get to know your unconscious dynamics is necessary. However, even after much shadow work, women continue to suffer from energies that seem to take over their bodies and behaviour. Often those women complain about hypersensitivity, for example, or losing control over anger attacks and being too emotional. On the other hand some women may feel that their emotional life is poor and are confused about their feelings states. In these cases, working on the integration of feminine and masculine energy is a necessity.
According to the teachings of Carl Jung, the psyche has a dual nature: it is both female and male.
In women, the conscious part of the ego is feminine. However, this does not mean that the feminine in women is not partly in the shadows.
The masculine in women is largely unconscious and often experienced outside of her.
Striving for an integration of this duality, the feminine and masculine, is essential.
In this workshop we are your guide to meet both Archetypal energies ( the masculine and feminine) within yourself. The focus will be on learning to distinguish between the two in their pure manifestation as well as their shadow side.

In each workshop we take a myth as our guide. In this workshop our guides are Persephone and Hades.
