Ligconcert met live geïmproviseerde pianomuziek door Roger Spees

Voor mensen die even niets hoeven.

Even niets hoeven is zeldzaam geworden.

Geen afspraak. Geen gesprek. Geen volgende stap. Geen programma dat je hoeft te volgen.

Bij Lazy Pianos kom je binnen, zoek je een fijne plek en gaat liggen of zitten. Daarna hoef je eigenlijk niets meer.

Roger Spees speelt al meer dan 25 jaar volledig geïmproviseerde muziek. Geen vaste stukken en geen setlist. De muziek ontstaat helemaal in het moment, vanuit de ruimte en de mensen die aanwezig zijn.

Piano vormt het hart van de avond, aangevuld met synths, harp, fluit, klankschalen, stem en lichte percussie. Soms klein en verstild, soms warm en ruimtelijk. Roger weet vooraf net zo min als jij waar de muziek naartoe zal gaan.

En dat is precies de bedoeling.

Je hoeft niets te begrijpen, te bereiken of te verwerken. Ga lekker liggen, sluit je ogen, kruip onder een dekentje en laat de muziek maar komen.

Luister. Droom weg. Voel. Of val gewoon even in slaap.

Alles mag. Niets hoeft.

Veel mensen merken dat hun hoofd vanzelf rustiger wordt, hun adem verdiept en er weer ruimte ontstaat. Niet omdat je daar iets voor moet doen, maar juist omdat er even niets van je gevraagd wordt.

Na afloop is er thee en ruimte om rustig weer te landen en eventueel nog wat na te praten.

Alle instrumenten zijn gestemd op 432 Hz, een stemming die veel mensen als warm en zacht ervaren. Je hoeft daar verder niets van te weten.

For people who need a moment of nothing.

Moments where nothing is required have become rare.

No appointment. No conversation. No next thing to do. No programme to follow.

At Lazy Pianos you simply arrive, find a comfortable place and lie down or sit back. After that, there is really nothing you need to do.

Roger Spees has been playing fully improvised music for more than 25 years. There are no fixed pieces and no setlist. The music is created completely in the moment, inspired by the space and the people who are there.

Piano is at the heart of the evening, accompanied by synths, harp, flute, singing bowls, voice and light percussion. Sometimes the music becomes small and still, sometimes warm and expansive. Roger does not know beforehand where the music will go either.

That is exactly the point.

You do not need to understand, achieve or work on anything. Lie down, close your eyes, get comfortable under a blanket and simply let the music come to you.

Listen. Drift away. Feel. Or just fall asleep for a while.

Everything is welcome. Nothing is required.

Many people notice that their mind naturally becomes quieter, their breathing deepens and a sense of space returns. Not because you need to make anything happen, but precisely because for a while, nothing is being asked of you.

Afterwards there is tea and time to slowly return, with space to talk if you feel like it.

All instruments are tuned to 432 Hz, a tuning many people experience as warm and soft. You do not need to know anything about it.

Come and do nothing for a while.

Mats and chairs are provided. Feel free to bring a warm blanket, pillow and optionally an eye mask.

The evening goes ahead with a minimum of 8 registrations. There is space for a maximum of 20 people. You will hear no later than three days beforehand whether the evening is confirmed.
