Live Event: Let's Talk Menopause - A Different Perspective
A (W)holistic perspective and open conversation exploring the third stage of a woman's life beyond symptoms, while acknowledging and making space for the challenges they bring.
Most of today’s menopause conversations focus on hormone decline, symptoms, and what can be done to stop or manage them: Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT), supplements, lifestyle changes, and symptom reduction.
This talk invites a different question:
What if menopause is not a betrayal of the body, but something else?
An intelligent life transition asking us to listen differently.
"Let's Talk Menopause - A Different Perspective" invites you to zoom out and see menopause not as a list of symptoms, but as a complex and meaningful life process involving the body, psyche, identity, sexuality, relationships, culture, and more.
This is not about suppressing symptoms or pushing through once again. It is about listening, understanding, and allowing meaning to emerge from what the body is expressing.
What We Will Explore?
Menopause as a life stage
The menstrual cycle as a reflection of life itself. Menopause as a natural unfolding, not a breakdown.
Symptoms and meaning
More than 30 possible menopausal symptoms, and why they deserve space and understanding. Moving from symptom management toward a deeper understanding of what the body is communicating.
Yes, also Hot and cold flashes ( and yes, they there are there too).
Hot, cold, and the intelligence of the body. Sweating as regulation and release, not something to be embarrassed about.
Sexuality and intimacy
Changes in desire, dryness, pain, avoidance, and silence. What happens in the vulva and vaginal tissues? How intimacy can be renegotiated, with yourself and with a partner.
Lifestyle and cause-effect
Sleep, food, stress, movement, and sexuality: how they shape the menopausal experience. Why quick fixes are often not the complete answer.
Hormone Therapy
Making informed and conscious choices rather than fear-based decisions. Exploring when support can be helpful and when it may prevent deeper listening.
Menopause at work and in society
Why silence can increase suffering. Finding language, voice, and dignity. Lived experience is woven throughout the talk, opening space for reflection, recognition, and shared understanding.
Who Is This Lecture For?
This lecture is for anyone born with ovaries, whether you are:
* Approaching perimenopause
* In the midst of change
* Postmenopausal and wondering: "What was that all about?"
* Supporting a partner or loved one
While it often resonates most strongly with women aged 35 to 60, everyone is welcome.
An invitation to slow down, listen, and discover a different understanding
Just as in nature, every phase of a woman's life carries its own intelligence, rhythm, and hidden wisdom.
This evening creates space for honest conversation, new perspectives, and deeper understanding of menopause: not as something to fight, but as a transition to explore with more awareness and care.
Inspired by my own way of understanding the body, nature, and the stories we carry, this evening offers both practical knowledge and meaningful reflection.
You are warmly welcome exactly as you are.
Reserve your place and join me for an evening of insight, connection, and inner nourishment.
Love,
Oda
