Maté Nacht is a monthly gathering where art, connection and creativity come together in a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
Inspired by the ritual of sharing maté, a traditional drink known for bringing people together, Maté Nacht creates a space where strangers become friends and creativity flows naturally. Our vision is simple: to offer a place where people can slow down, meet each other beyond social roles, and express themselves through art.
Rather than a traditional event, Maté Nacht feels like a living art café. A place where you can wander between creative spaces, participate in workshops, listen to music, share stories, or simply enjoy the atmosphere.
Everyone is welcome — artists, curious minds, and anyone who feels called to explore creativity.
This is a drug-free and alcohol-free event, creating a clear and grounded space for authentic connection.

✨ The Program

🧉 13:00 – 23:00 | Open Art Café The doors open at 13:00 and the art café will be alive throughout the entire evening. You are invited to relax, meet people and explore the creative spaces while enjoying drinks and snacks from the bar. We will be serving our special Maté blends, prepared in the traditional way. Come to create, connect or simply enjoy the vibe.



🎨 14:00 – 16:30 | Workshop | Paint like a poet | Jaap Kagiso

When you try to create art, what is your goal? Are you trying to capture reality exactly as it is? Or do you abstract it until it becomes unrecognizable? Maybe you’re aiming to reach a style you love.

Or do you create from within? Using the magic of symbols, seasons, shapes, and colors to express your inner world and transform your emotions. In my workshop “Paint Like a Poet,” my goal is to help you discover this alchemical way of creating. A method that helps you visualize your inner world and transform your feelings through art. It takes you on a journey of gathering, letting go, allowing ideas to grow, and expressing your deepest story.

Let go of the boundaries of your discipline and find inspiration in unexpected places. In this workshop we explore what lives within us and give it expression through movement, sound and interaction. By combining artistic and physical practices, participants are invited to discover new forms of expression beyond traditional categories. After the workshop we will move into an instant composition jam, where spontaneous performances emerge from the moment. No prior experience needed — curiosity is enough.

Everyone who wants to share something, for example – music, poetry, dance, or words – is given the space here. It’s a judgment-free environment where every voice matters.


🧉 19:00 - 23:00 | Drinking Maté | Exchange of Inspiration

exchange of inspiration with each other At the end of the evening, we return together to a place of calm. The music softens and conversations deepen. In this closing circle, we share reflections and insights from the day, a moment of gratitude and connection, a quiet celebration of what Mate Night has set in motion.
