Ecstatic dance is a dance journey that can be seen as a reflection of daily life. You move how you feel. No specific style, no need to be pretty. You can move alone, close your eyes, you can dance with others, energetically or with touch. Taking breaks, naps, not moving or doing anything you need in the journey is welcome as long as you respect the group agreements. The invitation is to experience new ways of relating to what comes at you in life (now symbolized by all kinds of music that you do not control yourself).
It can be deeply therapeutic, it can be like a party, like a meditation… workout, whatever you make out of it.
Sensual Ecstatic Dance is a sub-genre of Ecstatic Dance. The general idea and the agreements are the same as normal Ecstatic Dance:

🐚 2 hour journey
🐚 all kinds of music
🐚 no shoes
🐚 no phones
🐚 no talking
🐚 no intoxicants

In Sensual Ecstatic Dance there is room for a more sensual energy flow. The music might be adjusted more to activate your ‘sensual self’. That is something that has been become taboo, often misunderstood or misinterpreted. Let’s bring it back and normalize it! This type of Ecstatic Dance is being organized occasionally, it is an actual thing, but always far away from Amsterdam area! Let's infuse our soul tribes with it here as well! Also, your outfit can be more sensual than usual! There will be guidelines for no sexual/genital touch. The invitation is to dance with the desire if it comes up!
We collectively rewire: Sensual Looks and expression is NOT a direct invitation or permission to sexuality!

Not feeling sensual? No need! It is a container with an open possibility... not with expectation!

𝐀𝐞𝐨𝐧 𝐒𝐨𝐟𝐢𝐚:
Sofia has been a passionate dancer her whole life from early childhood, with a lot of experience in partner dances like Ballroom, Zouk and Lambada but also deemply immersed in free forms of intuitive dancing like Ecstatic Dance. Besides being a deeply embodied tantra teacher working with polarity and self transformation, she is bringing in a lot of expertise on self awareness and loving connection with a spark of fire and humor.

𝐃𝐚𝐢𝐬𝐲 𝐃𝐞𝐞 𝐇𝐚𝐳𝐞𝐥𝐥:
Daisy danced from an early age, but once she discovered that the Dance Academy just wasn’t her thing, she let this passion go. Soon after this decision, she was asked to teach jazz, ballet and contemporary dance and just like that dancing was back in her life. A couple of years later she left The Netherlands to travel, work and study abroad and once again she left dancing behind. Finally in New Zealand she tried her first pole dancing class and was hooked. Four years later she returned to Amsterdam where she started her journey in Aerial Hoop. Daisy is determined to never leave her passion behind again and is now active as a professional pole dance teacher!

Yona is a young rising star in the conscious dancing community. His music is inspired by his love for movement and dance. Expect a deep, hypnotic and sensual journey that will invite you to express the essence of your sensuality. He feels honored to be trusted in this feminine field en to support and deepen it.
