Over dit evenement
A non-verbal, embodied exploration of consent, playfulness, and authentic expression.
Do you long to move, feel, and connect without overthinking it – to rediscover the natural intelligence of your body through play?
Inner Playground: Impulse Play Fundamentals is a non-verbal, somatic practice space where you learn by doing: through movement, curiosity, and authentic connection. Play becomes a language here: one that helps you meet yourself and others with honesty, imagination, and presence. This guided workshop combines the freedom of play with clear structure. Through embodied exercises and playful interaction, you’ll practice tuning in to your impulses and expressing them with clarity and consent. We use movement, sound, presence, and words in service of the experience - not as the default way of communicating, but as a tool to integrate and connect. Expect laughter, trembling, sighs, yawns, and maybe even a roar or two: all natural releases that help your nervous system find balance again. Each round of play builds gently on the previous one: we’ll move through solo exploration, witnessing, one-on-one encounters, and possibly explore group play. There’s a rhythm of playing, pausing, and witnessing that supports you in staying attuned to yourself and others. The structure offers safety for curiosity to unfold, and room for your authentic impulses to come alive.
This is a structured, game-based format designed for both beginners and returning participants who want to deepen their embodied awareness. It’s playful yet profound; grounded yet freeing.
✦ This workshop is for you if you want to explore:
- Embodied consent and non-verbal communication
- Authentic connection through play
- Regulating your nervous system through primal release (movement, breath, sound)
- Expanding your comfort zone in a safe, structured way
- Playfulness as a path toward freedom and confidence
- Learning to honour your hell yes and your no, and to respect those of others
✦ What to expect
Once the doors open there is space for non-verbal landing in the workshop area, or a tea/snack in the arrival hall. Once everyone has arrived we gather in a circle to ground and connect. Then we move, walk, and engage in short, guided games that invite curiosity and trust. You’ll experience a carrousel of micro-encounters that gently build skill and confidence before entering rounds of play in playing fields. Sounds are welcome, but most of the time we communicate through the body. There'll be space to share appreciations and clear the air if misattunements occurred, and we'll end together in the circle. An “on my own” zone is always available for solitude and integration (no eye contact, no touch, no speech).
✦ Why “Inner Playground”
The Inner Playground is where body and imagination meet, where curiosity becomes your compass. This Fundamentals edition focuses on skill-building and awareness through structured play. If you prefer more free exploration, you can join the Inner Playground: Impulse Play Open Space, where the format is looser and more self-directed.
