Ground and Bound: Levelling Up Your Floorwork
Floorwork has the potential for being curious, creative, and we want to explore more in rope—where intimacy, playfulness, and intensity meet. This workshop invites you to explore how floor-based tying can become more than just technique: a shared dialogue between the tying person and the person being tied.
PART TWO, what to expect:
We will continue where "Empowerment in Rope' ended and explore rope as a form of communication, where both partners actively shape the experience. Every gesture, movement and pause becomes part of the conversation. We will also lean into shame and exposure, treating vulnerability not as a weakness but as a path to connection and empowerment. Exposure will be explored, not as a goal, but as a pathway to understand how your partner reacts.
Body handling will be another core focus: how to move, guide, and ground your partner with care, presence, and sometimes intensity. We will explore collaborative tying, emphasizing that rope is something done with someone and not to them. Finally, we will work with intense floorwork: how to distinguish between pressure and force, and flow on the ground.

About the Presenters
Lil (she/her) is a switch based in the Amsterdam region. When she first entered the kink scene, she discovered rope and dove deeply into learning as much as she could. She soon realized that her passion lay not only in experiencing but also in teaching—something she has embraced in other areas of her life as well.
In rope, she enjoys many different flavors, ranging from lighthearted, fast-paced play to more intense and emotional tying. She has learned to use her expressiveness as a tool for clear communication with the person tying her, while also paying close attention to both her own body language and that of her partner to create a shared dialogue through rope.
Switchmeister (he/him, they/them) has been actively participating in the rope world since 2019 and teaching since 2023, tying and having fun with many people along the way. He also organizes Floorplay Rope Jams in the local community and enjoys many aspects of rope: creativity on the floor, nonverbal communication, aggressive affection, body handling, the use of leverage, and a playful mix of slow, pervy, and speed tying.
A self-described reaction fetishist, much of rope bondage for him is about finding new ways to draw out authentic reactions from the people he ties. For him, rope is a space of intimacy infused with curiosity and playfulness.
