An unique opportunity to receive traditional teachings of the Changleska, better known in the West as Medicine Wheel.

Lakota Sun dancer Kristofer TwoFeathers comes to Avani on invitation, to share his humble teachings he learned from 25 years of conducting and attending numerous ceremonies through the US, with different tribes.

With our physical eyes we analyze and think. We are prisoners of the current patriarchal, consumerist lifestyle where God is money that now engulfs the entire planet, our Mother Earth, we have so much material progress;
• the internet that brings information at the speed of light throughout the world
• we can talk to someone on the other side of the earth with a cell phone at any time
• we can fly by plane, take trains, boats and go everywhere in a few hours
• We have an over abundance of food, clothes, houses
• machines and robots to do anything, microscopes to see the smallest particles, telescopes to see the
most distant galaxies ….
However we have so much loneliness, fear, wars, hunger ....

We are destroying the same creation that supports us, Mother Earth It is time to awaken the chante ishta (from Lakota) the eye of the heart that knows balance, the wheel of life that continues; The Medicine Wheel, a circle without beginning or end, is the knowledge, wisdom, way of being, lifestyle collected in more than 50,000 years of experience of the indigenous tribal people of North America.

During this three-day journey together through our bodies, feelings and mind we immerse ourselves with the four forces that create life, that organize the universe experiencing four principal teachings of the medicine wheel. Together we can create a new way of perceiving, so we forge new tools to better manage our modern consumerist lives towards a new balance.

Each day will be dedicated to one of teachings of the four principal sacred movements of the universe known as east, south, west and north and will include. A daily inipi ceremony-“sweat lodge” , Creation of a small medicine wheel to take home, Creation of a large medicine wheel of stones in the forest, gratitude ceremony, water ceremony, dance ceremony.

Lead by:
Kristofer Twofeathers, sun dancer of the Lakota tradition, was trained thanks to the numerous teachings received from the wisdom of medicine men and women spiritual leaders of different Native American traditions, however he considers his two children his greatest teachers. For 25 years he has been conducting numerous ceremonies in Europe such as the Inipi, the sweat lodge, fasting ceremonies and various ceremonial dances. He believes that these ancient rituals should not be lost because they constitute a great source of healing, they give us the opportunity to reconnect with our true nature, with Mother Earth and with the entire universe. Rituals create magic and in these special moments we become aware that we are in relationship with everything that surrounds us and we return as newborns, simple beings amazed by the beauty of all life.
