Een moment van rust, stilte en zakken in jezelf na de drukte van de kerstdagen. Een moment van verbinding met de natuur om je heen en de natuur in jezelf. Een moment om te zakken in de diepe, stille energie van de winter, gevolgd door een zacht ritueel om het terugkerende licht te verwelkomen.
De verbinding met je diepste zelf, die hier altijd is, kun je in de stilte van de winter versterken en uitdiepen. Zodat je die innerlijke stem, die altijd de weg weet, het komende jaar nog beter mag gaan herkennen.
Een theeceremonie is een prachtige manier om te zakken in de stilte in jezelf en je innerlijke wijsheid uit te nodigen. Tijdens deze ceremonie drinken we de plant 'thee' (Camilia sinensis), een prachtig vrouwelijk plantmedicijn (niet psychedelisch) met een hartopenende energie. Het is echt 'gewoon' thee, maar verwerkt en geserveerd op traditionele wijze, waardoor je de plant amper herkent van de thee in een theezakje.
We verzachten, verstillen en landen in diepe rust, net zoals de natuur om ons heen.
PRAKTISCH
Tijdens de ceremonie zitten we op de grond, de locatie heeft geen meditatiekussens beschikbaar. Neem dus zelf een kussentje of backjack mee om op te zitten. Er zijn wel bolsters beschikbaar om op te zitten, maar dat zit minder lekker. Doe ook iets comfortabels aan waarmee je op een kussentje kunt zitten. De theeceremonie zelf duurt ongeveer 1 uur, daarna is er een pauze, gaan we over naar het ritueel en sluiten we af - indien passend - met een deelronde.

WAAR IS HET?
De theeceremonie vindt plaats in de prachtige ruimte De Orbit, dichtbij station Driebergen-Zeist. Deze ruimte, omringd door groen en rust, is helemaal gebouwd van hout en natuurlijke elementen.
MEENEMEN?
(Meditatie)kussen of backjack. Eventueel een notitieboekje om het een en ander in op te schrijven na de ceremonie/ritueel. Er zijn bolsters beschikbaar om op te zitten, maar dit zit minder lekker.
PARKEREN
Bij De Orbit zijn 5 tot 6 parkeerplekken (graag parkeren in rijen van 3), kom dus zoveel mogelijk samen of met OV/fiets. Als de parkeerplaats vol is, kan er alleen geparkeerd worden rondom het stationsgebied, bijvoorbeeld bij de P+R bij het station (+/- €6 per dag). Vanaf daar is het ongeveer 7 minuten lopen. Let op: parkeren op de parkeerplaats van de buren of bij het bospad verderop is niet de bedoeling, de locatie kan hier klachten over krijgen.
WIE IS CHARELLE?
Mijn naam is Charelle, vijf jaar geleden kwam ik in contact met de traditie van de Chinese theeceremonie en sindsdien is mijn leven compleet veranderd. Het dagelijkse moment van stilte, contemplatie en contact met het wijdse, is transformerend. Het bracht me op het pad van het Zen Boeddhisme en laat me het leven vanuit een hele andere plek ervaren. Daarnaast ben ik werkzaam als Kruidengeneeskundige en begeleid ik vrouwen bij klachten rondom de cyclus, menstruatie en (peri)menopauze. Dat alles vormt een prachtig pad dat samenkomt met de theeceremonie en het Keltisch jaarwiel.

A moment of stillness and silence after the fullness of the Christmas days. A moment of coming home to yourself and reconnect with the nature within and around you. A warm invitation to sink into the deep, hushed energy of winter, followed by a gentle ritual to welcome the returning light.
In the silence of winter, the connection with your deepest self — the one that is always present — can be strengthened and deepened. So that in the year ahead, you may hear that inner voice that always knows the way, even more clearly.
The tea ceremony offers a beautiful way to enter the stillness within, and to connect with your inner wisdom. During the tea ceremony we'll drink 'tea' — the plant Camellia sinensis — a graceful, feminine plant ally (non-psychedelic) with a heart-opening energy. It is ‘just’ tea, yet prepared and served in the traditional way.
We soften. We become still. We go within.
PRACTICAL DETAILS
We will be sitting on the floor during the ceremony. The venue does not provide meditation cushions, so please bring your own cushion or backjack for comfortable sitting. Otherwise, bolsters are available to sit on.
Wear something soft and cozy that allows you to sit comfortable. The ceremony takes up about one hour, followed by a short break, a gentle ritual, and — if it feels right — a closing sharing circle.

LOCATION
The ceremony takes place in the beautiful space De Orbit, near Driebergen-Zeist station. Surrounded by green and stillness, this wooden, light-filled space is built entirely from natural materials — a sanctuary of calm.
PLEASE BRING
A (meditation) cushion or backjack, and perhaps a notebook to capture any reflections or insights after the ceremony and ritual. Note: there are bolsters available to sit on, but this will be less comfortable.
PARKING
The Orbit has 5 tot 6 parking spots available, please park in rows of 3. If there's no parking spot left, you can park at the train station P+R (+/- €6 a day). From there it's a 7 minute walk. Note: please don't park at the neighbours' or along the forest path, the location has received complaints about this in the past.
ABOUT CHARELLE
My name is Charelle. Five years ago, I encountered the tradition of the Chinese tea ceremony — and my life was forever changed. The daily practice of silence, contemplation, and connection with spaciousness has been deeply transformative. It led me onto the path of Zen Buddhism and opened a new way of experiencing life — one rooted in stillness and presence. Alongside this, I work as an Herbal Medicine Practitioner, guiding women through challenges around the menstrual cycle, menstruation, and (peri)menopause. All of these paths weave together beautifully.
