“The journey begins with a question, a spark in the heart —
A longing for something deeper, more real.
In the Valley of the Quest, we take the first step —
Not to find answers, but to remember what we truly are.”

We invite you into the cosy setting of Mahara's yurt where we will journey together into the Sufi music and poetry of Iran and Syria.

“The Valley of the Quest” is the first of seven valleys in Farid ud-Din Attar’s “The Conference of the Birds” (منطق الطیر) — a mystical allegory of the soul’s journey toward divine truth. The journey is taken by birds, each symbolizing a human soul, in search of the Simurgh, the mysterious king who represents the Divine Self.
