we transform yogastudio The Human Fabrique in Haarlem into a magical and intimate Ecstatic Dance temple. Together we create a place where all is welcome. A place where you will feel at home. A place where you feel free to move like you have never moved before. In this place there’s no right or wrong, no choreography and no judgement.
Together we create a safe space by following the guidelines of Ecstatic Dance:
đź’› we are silent on the dancefloor & let our body do the talking
đź’› we take off our shoes & dance bare feet
đź’› we move with an open and positive mindset & don't judge
đź’› we are free from alcohol, drugs and phones & get high on our own supply
đź’› we move freely & no dancing experience is needed
These guidelines allow us to connect with ourselves, the music and each other. Be inspired by the magic of free movement. If you allow yourself to move freely, the world around you will move as well. Be amazed, be open and be vulnerable.
We are looking forward to taking you on this magical journey of movement. Together we will discover a whole new world of moving. We will explore our own body in multiple ways. And we will connect to our inner world in an intimate setting.
CACAO CEREMONY 🤎
We will start the event with a heartwarming cacao ceremony. Back in ancient times, cacao was used by the Mayas both for its health and spiritual benefits. Drinking this pure form of cacao, allows us to experience the true essence of the plant, connecting us to ourselves and one another and nurturing both our body and mind.
Together we will set an intention, drink the cacao and listen to beautiful live music.
Our cacao ceremony will centre around the theme of embracing the dark đź–¤

WHY THE MOVEMENT JOURNEY – ABOUT YOUR FACILITATOR LOIS
Movement has always been a big theme in my life. Whether it’s moving around the world by travelling, moving my body in different types of sports or moving my inner world by developing myself on a spiritual level. All comes down to moving forwards in a conscious and loving way.
Ecstatic Dance for me is a way to move freely, without judgement, and with full focus on myself. What I have discovered is that by moving my body freely, I am moving my inner world as well. It’s really like therapy to me. And to be very honest: often I’m crying on the dancefloor. In most occasions because I feel so loved and blessed. But in some occasions also because of emotions that were stuck in my body. Every single time I feel so released.
I am looking forward to taking you on this journey with me. Please bear in mind: every single one of us is able to move. If you feel unsure or insecure about dancing or moving, please reach out to me and I will provide some support. My first introduction to Ecstatic Dance was during my backpack-trip in Central America in 2022. Ik felt so much love and gratefulness on the dancefloor. I had never felt like this before on (dance) parties. From that moment onwards I knew: I want more of this and I want to share it with the world!
