Singing Circle: A Voice & Soul Expansion

Welcome to our Singing Circle at Birdcage!


WHAT TO EXPECT?

We come together to sing and create music as a community. Together we are creating a safe space for everyone to gather and share music. Come as you are, and be who you are. This event is an exploration and expansion of our voices and spirits and is about community and connection.

Our Singing Circle is for anyone and everyone who has a voice and who wishes to express who they are through sound and sharing. All voices welcome, quiet or loud. No previous experience in either music or singing is needed to participate in our circle.


PROGRAM

We start with a simple sharing, a check-in, where we can land and share a little about how we are feeling in the present moment. After this, we will sing and play songs and music for most of our time together, before we end with another sharing, or check-out.

Flexible Schedule:
19:30–20:00: Arrival
20:00–20:10: Check-in
20:10–20:20: Warm-up
20:20–21:40: Singing
21:40–21:45: Check-out
21:45–22:00: Departure


MATERIALS

The songs we sing will be about freedom, about love, peace and surrender. We are inspired by different traditions from around the world, including Native Tribes from the Americas, Eastern Spirituality, and even Western Spirituality and New Age.

We create an inclusive space where everyone can come and share their gifts, primarily their voices and instrument skills. Feel free to bring your acoustic instruments along as well – we will have some chord sheets to share.


CONTRIBUTION

You can contribute either by cash or via a QR-code that you can scan with your phone. We invite you to contribute between €5 and €30, depending on your budget and how much you can contribute. Thanks to your financial support we can keep these circles going! 🙏🏽
