Een kleurrijke landingsplaats waar we aan het knisperende haardvuur een aromatische kop cacao serveren in ceremoniële setting. Een inspirerende plek om je (opnieuw) te verbinden met je hart, stem en visioenen.

De warme stemmen van Elena & Nina nemen je mee op een poëtische reis met live muziek, rituelen, visualisatie oefeningen en stembevrijding. We openen een poort die uitnodigt tot het verkennen van de mysteries van het hart. Dit alles zal plaatsvinden in de magische Salon van Ruigoord.

♥ CACAO is een heerlijk kado uit de natuur dat wij graag verspreiden. Voordat de cacaoboon wereldwijde roem vergaarde als chocolade, werd cacao vereerd als een goddelijke drank en spiritueel fenomeen. Duizenden jaren geleden werd cacao in de inheemse culturen van Meso- Amerika gebruikt in rituelen, offers en om verbinding en vrede te vinden onderling. Er wordt wel gezegd dat cacao een brug vormt tussen de zichtbare en de onzichtbare wereld. Als superfood is cacao ook één van de meest rijke voedselbronnen die de aarde kent. Geconsumeerd in puurste vorm, zijn er talloze voordelen voor lichaam en geest: positieve energie, stressverlichting, helderheid, focus en flow. Een prachtige en ondersteunende compagnon voor transformatie, op vele lagen.

◉ KAKAO EXPRESS is een rituelen- en performance collectief dat hedendaagse ceremonies creëert, doordrenkt met de kleurrijke wereld en diepgewortelde wijsheid van cacao. We verweven de transformerende kracht van ceremonie en de verbindende magie van theater tot poëtische ceremonies, zintuigelijke interactieve belevingen en workshops. Kakao Express werd in 2019 opgericht door Nina, nadat cacao op haar pad kwam tijdens haar reizen door Guatemala en Mexico. Met haar achtergrond in theater raakte ze gefascineerd door de mythische wereld van cacao, en begon aan een doorlopende ontdekkingstocht naar de verhalen en traditionele gebruiken van deze gouden vrucht. Samen met visionaire artiesten waaronder muzikanten, dichters, performers, filosofen en lichaamswerkers onderzoekt ze authentieke rituelen om met de wijsheid van het hart en elkaar te verbinden.

♣ NINA LEYA VAN KOPPEN werkt in het veld van theater, film en ceremonie. Ze verbindt podiumkunsten met spirituele beoefening en creëert settings waarin kwaliteiten als verbeelding, intuïtie, introspectie en devotie kunnen worden verdiept. Ze shift tussen verschillende rollen; als actrice vertelt ze verhalen en onderzoekt de belichaming van emotie. Als theatermaker en ceremonialist creëert ze sprookjesachtige atmosferen die de zintuigen activeren. Als stembevrijder opent ze een ruimte voor anderen om hun unieke stem in boodschap en klank te ontdekken. Haar werk is geïnspireerd op studies in theater, stembevrijding, kundalini yoga, verschillende meditatievormen en door de lessen van onze prachtige natuur.

♣ ELENA TIERRA is een intuïtieve kunstenares, multi-instrumentalist en vocale alchemist.
Ze creëert diepe ‘soul spaces’ waar de kracht van geluid een poort vormt om heelheid te vinden, zowel in jezelf als met spirit. Ze deelt haar muziek in verschillende settings, zoals tantra-retraites, plantmedicijn-ceremonies en verschillende festivals in Nederland. Naast haar muziekcarrière is ze ook een stembevrijdingscoach. Of het nu door haar rituele optredens is of door mensen te begeleiden bij het bevrijden van hun stem, Elena inspireert en begeleidt je naar diepe verbinding met je oerkrachtige creatieve expressie van wie je in essentie bent.

The soothing voices of Elena & Nina will take you along on a poetic journey through live music, rituals, visualization- and voice liberation practices. We open a gateway inviting you to explore the mysteries of the heart. The magic will unfold in the beautiful Salon of Ruigoord.

♥ CACAO is a true gift from nature that we love to spread. Before the bean achieved worldwide fame known as chocolate, cacao was honored as a divine drink and spiritual phenomenon. Thousands of years ago in native cultures of Mesoamerica cacao was used in rituals, offerings and to connect with each other. Some say cacao facilitates a bridge between the seen and the unseen world. Also on a superfood level cacao is one of the most rich food sources we have. It brings – consumed in purest form – great health benefits: positive energy, stress release, clarity, focus and flow. A beautiful and supportive companion for transformation, on many levels.

◉ KAKAO EXPRESS is a ritual & performance collective, creating contemporary ceremonies infused with the colorful world and rooted wisdom of cacao. We weave the transformative power of ceremony and the connective magic of theatre together, into sensorial immersive experiences, workshops, intimate ceremonies. Kakao Express was founded by Nina in 2019, after cacao came on her path during her travels in Guatemala and Mexico. With her background in theatre, she was intrigued by the mythical world of cacao and started an ongoing journey of exploring the stories and traditional use of this golden fruit. She collaborates with many inspiring visionary artists, such as musicians, poets, performers, philosophers and bodyworkers. Together we explore authentic rituals to connect with the wisdom of the heart and with each other.

♣ NINA LEYA VAN KOPPEN works in the field of theatre, film and ceremony. She connects performing arts with spiritual practice and creates settings where qualities as imagination, intuition, introspection and devotion can be deepened. She shifts between different roles; as an actress she is passioned about storytelling and emotional embodiment. As a theatremaker and ceremonialist she creates immersive scenery that activate the senses. As a voice liberation coach she opens up a space for others discover their authentic voice in word and sound. Her work is inspired on her studies in theatre, voice coaching, kundalini yoga, various meditation practices and by teachings of our beautiful nature.

♣ ELENA TIERRA is an intuitive artist, multi instrumentalist and vocal alchemist. She creates deep soul spaces, where the power of sound becomes a portal of finding wholeness within and with spirit. She has been serving her music in different settings like, tantra retreats, plant medicine ceremonies and several festivals within Holland. Beside her music career she is also a voice liberation coach. If through her ritualistic performances or by guiding people to liberate their own voices, Elena inspires and guides you into deep connection with your primal raw creative expression of who you are in essence.
