Ecstatic Dance is a free form of dance, very pure and simple and therefore so powerful and transforming. To create a save and sacred environment we follow a few basic but important guidelines.
We commit ourselves to:
* No speaking or communicating in spoken language, as soon as you enter the venue the entire space is a non-speaking area,
* We dance and move barefoot in our own unique way,
* We come as pure as possible, stay free from alcohol/drugs or other stimulating/narcotic substances and strong perfumes,
* Phones/camera's or other distractions are not allowed until the end of the closing-circle,
Program:

20.15 start Ecstatic Dance by DJ Yarun Dee
22.15 closing circle

Practical:
* For the Music Medicine Ceremony please bring your own yoga math/sheepskin/pillow to sit on ( be aware that there is a limited amount of space, so leave mattresses etc at home).
* During the transition we will clear the dansfloor in silence.
* Wear layers of comfortable clothes in which you can move freely, take into account that you will sweat and take care of good hygiene,
* Returning tickets once purchased is not possible. No refunds will be made unless the event is canceled by the organization,
* Leave your valuables at home as much as possible. We keep the dancefloor free from personal belongings so we can literally leave the worries and distractions of everyday life outside the room,

* We will serve a limited amount of organic tea and water, please bring your own water bottle!
Location:
For this special edition we will gather again at the place where it all begon, the chapel of the Savelberg Monastery in Heerlen. There is definitely something special about this venue, with its high walls you feel protected, embraced like being in a wombspace. It is small and intimate with a max capacity of 60 dancers. The white and blue colors give a kind of sacred touch to the whole experience.
The location is at walking distance from the trainstation (11 min). You can park at the Putgraaf or Spoorsingel (street), most convenient is parking Q-park (Putgraaf 1D) or Klompstraat 11 nearby the venue.
We are looking forward to experience this special journey with you!
More info about Mayita:
Maya! A Call to the Global Guardians"
“Maya” is an arrow of loving, focused intent- a ceremony of sound. “Maya” is a prayer to awaken and unite Global Guardians in songs and dances of collaborative healing.
“Maya” was a result of a dieta in the mountains of Colombia as well as 10 years of various forms of music study. MaYita’s creative channels clarified and there was no choice but to sing out- to make the call for the galactic guardians to unite.
“Maya” is a call to all those who came to train in interconnected sovereignty. A call to those who are ready to act in the highest good for all beings.
As a musical work, “Maya” unites territories and traditions. It is a mixture of MaYita’s original work, potent covers, and songs she caught from the families who are carrying the codes of our ancestral memory in ceremony. Every song on “Maya” is offered as a joyful act of sonic healing.
MaYita, the artist:
MaYita studied classical music and upright bass in Cuba, jazz at the Brooklyn Conservatory and she holds a masters degree in music therapy from Montclair University. She also graduated from the US military’s school of music as a sound engineer. Maya formed, played bass, and toured extensively with the band Pacha Massive, signed under Nacional Records.
Maya was given her spiritual name, Ma-Yita, by her mother. It is a name that sprouted from her nickname, Ma-Yita, and has ties to the Inuit word for deer. Symbolically it carries a message of grace, poise and gentleness.
