Traditional Temazcal Mexihca (Sept 28th)

Mapichihuitl is a guardian of the Mexihca culture and her life call is to maintain this tradition alive by respectfully honor and share the practices and knowledge that she received from the elders.

For more than 20 years she has been guiding traditional temazcal ceremonies in her homeland MEXICO.

Now she comes to GRONINGEN (for the second time) with the intention of sharing the medicine of the temazcal the way it was in ancient times, by her ancestors.

The temazcal (“sweat lodge” in English) is a steam bath with medicinal plants that has been used in Mexico (and other countries) since ancient times to purify the person.

The temazcal works on a physical, emotional, mental and spiritual level by:
- detoxing, relaxing and healing the body
- quieting the mind and expanding it´s limits
- experiencing connection and trust
- assisting in the healing of emotions and integration of deep processes

It is an honor to have Mapichihuitl guiding us through a deep journey in the womb of mother earth!

This invitation is for people that:
• want to experience an authentic traditional practice.
• are in a soul searching path.
• want an immediate afterwards physical detox and relaxation.
• are searching to heal and integrate emotions in a safe space.
• are looking to expand the limits of their mind.
