Domination and submission. Is it calling you?

When people think of domination, they usually think of strict masters or mistresses, black leather, humiliation, pain. While this is definitely one of the possible flavours of domination, this is by far not the only one.

In this workshop we’ll dive into the different energies (or archetypes, as you will) you can embody as a Dom.

There’s only one way to learn yourself better as a Dom and to know what works for you: experiment, experiment, experiment. Try stuff out, see what suits you and what doesn’t. Domination comes in many energies, and we’ll give you the chance to try them on.

You can be a strict mistress or master. A warm and kind caretaker. A playful pouty princess or prince. Or something different altogether. Take the reins in hand and learn to use your inner power to guide your partner into surrender.

Whether you’re new or experienced, this workshop is for you if you want to gain more tools and experience in the area of domination.

WHAT TO EXPECT?

This day will consist of two parts: a 4-hour workshop about Conscious Domination, followed by a Conscious Open Practice Jam. It’s all consent based. You only have to do things you feel a YES for (or not, if that’s your spiritual practice at this moment), and never ever ever will we force you into anything you don’t want.

THE CONSCIOUS DOMINATION WORKSHOP

The exercises of the workshop slowly build up in intensity so that everybody can join how and when they want to. The exercises are playful, sometimes intense, but always from a loving place.

We will always switch roles, so you will gain experience in the role of the Dom as well as the sub.

We'll be practising with domination and submission, leading and surrendering. Or in other words: polarity. Polarity plays an important part in both tantra and BDSM. In tantra it's called the masculine and the feminine (not linked to gender), in BDSM the Dominant and the submissive. In our Conscious Domination workshops we combine tantra and BDSM to create a strong, conscious polarity.

During this workshop clothes stay on (other rules account for the Conscious Open Practice Jam).

CONSCIOUS OPEN PRACTICE JAM

After the Conscious Domination workshop there will be a 2,5 hour Open Practice Jam. This will be open to others who have already been to one of our events and know our community culture.

Buying a ticket for this event automatically includes entrance to the Conscious Open Practice Jam.



THIS EVENT IS FOR YOU WHEN YOU...

- want to explore Domination and submission

- might feel a little scared, or not. It’s all good, there will be sweet and loving people

- have an open mind (or working on it) towards others and yourself regarding kink, intimacy & s'xuality

- take responsibility for your own wellbeing. This means that you can always voice your boundaries. We will never force you to do anything.

- come as you are: any gender and s'xual orientation is welcome

- are single or in a relationship (read the Partner agreements section below)

- are older than 18.



THIS IS NOT FOR YOU WHEN YOU...

- are not respectful towards others, cross boundaries or display other behaviour that jeopardizes the safety of the group.

- come to “hunt”. Leave any neediness/greediness at home. Instead, allow whatever wants to unfold arise, without expectations.

We ask participants to keep to the guidelines that are discussed at the beginning of the workshop. When you are not respectful, cross boundaries or display other behaviour that jeopardise the safety of the group we can ask you to leave the workshop.


PARTNER AGREEMENTS

If you come with a partner, come in sync. Discuss whether you’ll do the exercises with others, or only with the two of you. Discuss this for the play party as well.

We strongly recommend discussing boundaries and fears beforehand. Be specific when you talk about it: what specific actions that you or the other might do could be hard for you to experience? Find an agreement that you both feel good about. Be gentle with each other



PRACTICALITIES

At 13:30 the doors open.

At 14:00 exactly we start. It is important for everyone to be there on time, so we can create a safer space with all of us from the start.

At 18:00 we have a dinner break. You can walk outside, chill inside, eat, change into other clothing for the Conscious Open Practice Jam if you feel like it. We’ll be putting on music and we chill!

At 18:30 doors open for those joining the Conscious Open Practice Jam.

At 19:00 we start the Conscious Open Practice Jam.



WHAT TO BRING

- An evening meal for yourself.

- Comfortable clothing and/or if you like you can shine in your dominant outfit as well.

- Water bottle.

-We recommend some easy snacks for the breaks. Make sure you have enough, workshops can be quite intense.



For the Open Practice Jam, be sure to bring:

- A towel: the most useful thing a s'xpositive human being can have. Preferably a large one. You can be naked on it, dry yourself off with it, maybe even cuddle with it. (The Hitchhiker's Guide To The Galaxy was right all along;)

- whatever serves you in your s'xual expression. Anything from toys to your favourite brand of condoms. (Standard latex condoms, latex gloves and silicone lube will be provided by us)

- Sexy outfit, meaning: what do you feel sexy in? Whether that’s your pyjamas, your alter ego outfit or just a string and socks.

- Nesting if you like (things that make you feel comfortable, like a blanket)

Tip: Be mindful of your body odour: heavy perfume can be overwhelming for others. Natural, clean scents are the best!

Distelweg 78, 1031 HH Amsterdam, an antikraak venue at the former office of VitalSelect.
Free parking in front of the venue. 1,40 per hour if the parking lot is full. Busstop Distelweg is around the corner.
