********** Course / Classes DESCRIPTION ***********

This course and classes are designed to deepen the practice of Contact Improvisation for practitioners who have been engaged with this art form for at least one year.

Throughout the classes, we will continue expanding our understanding, confidence, technique, and freedom in movement, while developing greater sensitivity to ourselves, our partners, and the space around us.

In these lessons, we will go deeper into the different aspects of this dance through physical technique, listening to the many layers of the dance, and exploring the fundamental principles of Contact Improvisation.

We will explore the physical, psychological, philosophical, somatic, creative, and artistic aspects of this wonderful form of dancing.

The course will focus on integrating the elements explored during class directly into the dance practice, with each lesson ending in a jam.

These lessons are intended for people who already have experience with this form and practice it on a regular basis.
