A full-day immersion into sacred sound, voice, harmonium and the devotional heart of kirtan.
During this special day, we gather to deepen our connection to mantra, music and bhakti through two offerings that beautifully complement one another:

2. Workshop The Art of Harmonium in Kirtan

Whether you are a musician, kirtan facilitator or devoted practitioner, this day offers space to deepen your relationship with sacred music — not only technically, but also energetically and spiritually.

THE ART OF DEVOTIONAL SINGING
Opening the Voice through Breath & Vocal Techniques for Greater Expression

With Krishangi Lila

We begin the day with a vocal workshop focused on opening and exploring the voice for ANYONE wanting to feel more confident using their voice and longing for more freedom, resonance and expression. No professional singing experience is needed.

Especially valuable for:
• mantra and kirtan practitioners
• beginning or amateur singers
• harmonium players

Together we will explore:
• breathing techniques
• vocal warm-ups
• resonance and expression within the body
• singing from the heart
• confidence in mantra singing
• vocal exercises inspired by Nada Yoga
• working with mantra as a vocal practice
• exploring harmonies and second voice

THE ART OF HARMONIUM IN KIRTAN
Refining Technique, Presence & Energy

With Krishangi Lila (assisted by Karolien) & Murti on mṛdaṅga
Sunday June 14th | 14:00-17:00

In the afternoon we dive into the harmonium and the subtle art of accompanying kirtan.
This workshop is intended FOR PEOPLE WHO ALREADY HAVE SOME EXPERIENCE with harmonium and a personal mantra or kirtan practice.

Especially valuable for:
• harmonium players wanting to deepen their skills
• kirtan facilitators
• yoga teachers working with mantra
• practitioners wanting to bring more presence, flow and musicality into kirtan

Rather than learning many different mantras, we will go deeper into one mantra and explore how to use different techniques to build a kirtan musically.

Themes may include:
• meditation and inner preparation before leading
• the devotional mood behind kirtan
• exploring chords (open, 5th and 3rds)
• following the melody
• melodic ornamentation and fillers
• building and holding energy in kirtan
• deepening relationship with mantra and deity through practice

Ending by playing and singing together as one collective practice.

BRING YOUR OWN HARMONIUM, PLEASE!
There are a few harmoniums for single-use rental available for 10,-. First come first serve.

CONTRIBUTION

We work with a two-part contribution system:
• a base contribution of basic fee per workshop to help cover the practical costs of the day
• plus an additional value-based CASH donation afterwards, based on how you experienced the immersion and what feels aligned and possible for you

In this way we hope to keep the day accessible while also supporting the musicians, teachings, travel costs and venue in a fair and heart-centered way.

ABOUT OUR SPECIAL GUESTS

KRISHANGI LILA 🌸 is a devotional singer, holistic voice coach and multi-instrumentalist from Estonia, offering concerts, workshops and sound meditations internationally. Rooted in more than 20 years of Bhakti Yoga practice, her work weaves together mantra, sacred music, Nada Yoga (the yoga of sound) and deep vocal exploration. Her offerings invite participants into presence, connection and authentic expression through the voice.

MURTI 🎶 has been participating in bhakti-kirtans since his childhood and has specialized in the art of mṛdaṅga, the sacred drum from Bengal.
Deeply inspired by the Gauḍīya Vaiṣṇava tradition, he weaves traditional Indian rythms and devotional singing, creating a spiritual and grounded energy to his playing and teaching. He has been facilitating kirtans, workshops, and immersions across Europe and beyond for several years, always emphasizing presence, devotion, rather than performance.
