Join Arben in a 90min sound healing session, a cacao ceremony and supper, guided by the cosmic sound field of the Grotta Sonora gongs
A gong bath is a deeply immersive form of sound healing meditation where participants "bathe" in the powerful vibrations and resonant tones of gongs, no water involved 😉
We start with a short cacao ceremony that helps to relax the body and create a more receptive state of body and mind. During the sound healing session, you'll lie comfortably on a really comfortable mattress (covered with blankets and cushions for support) while Arben plays the Grotta Sonora gongs using various mallets and techniques. The experience works through brainwave entrainment, the sounds guide your mind from busy beta waves (active thinking) into alpha (relaxed awareness) and theta states (deep meditation), equivalent to restorative deep REM sleep. The deep, rumbling vibrations stimulate your vagus nerve, the longest cranial nerve that connects brain to body, signaling your nervous system that you are safe, which naturally slows heart rate, reduces blood pressure, and lowers stress hormones.
The journey is sealed with a warm, grounding homemade soup, offering time and space to integrate, connect and return gently from sound into form.

WHAT TO BRING
Tea will be served on arrival. Mats and props are available but you are welcome to bring warm socks, a hot water bottle, a takeaway box if you prefer to take your soup home, or anything that helps you feel extra safe and cosy.

ABOUT ARBEN
Arben first met yoga at the age of twelve at a kids camp. Both curious and shy, it took another twelve years for them to cross paths again. After studying and practicing yoga online for two years, he made a spontaneous decision to quit his job and travel to Mexico for a Sivananda Yoga Teacher Training in 2018. He fell in love with the practice, and they have been exploring each other ever since through dedication and study.
He now teaches and has been trained in a variety of styles from hatha, vinyasa, ashtanga, restorative, yoga nidra and yin. He is also a certified sound therapist. For him, yoga is a practice of connecting with yourself in order to connect more honestly with the world around you, an exploration of breath, energy, body, mind and spirit. His favourite offerings are sound healing, vinyasa and yoga nidra, and his classes invite you to experience presence, softness and a deeper sense of embodiment.
