Over dit evenement

Mara'akame Don Venado is returning to Belgium! 💚

We are very much looking forward to working with this wonderful Mexican maestro again and immersing ourselves in his beautiful culture, their sacred medicine and ancestral healing techniques. You are warmly invited to come dance, sing and pray with us around the Fire. 🪵🔥

We gather outside around our sacred fire place, on 20 and/or 22 August.

You can also sign up for Individual Healing Sessions at various times throughout the weekend, before and after the ceremonies. More information about this can be found at further down this invitation.

🔥 ABOUT MARA’AKAME DON VENADO 🔥
Don Venado was born in 1980 in La Laguna (Nayarit) and is a Mara'akame - which is to the Wixárika nation the highest level of a healer, similar to surgeons in western culture. They go through a lifetime of intensive studies of shamanic healing, pilgrimages, diets and deep work before only a few reach this prestigious role.

He has completed several cycles for the main village of Ceremonial Center Tatei Kie, Cohamiata. He was Jicarero Kebiumuca: keeper of Mother Corn's vase. He honored this vase for 5 years and brought it to various places of offerings. He is currently a ceremonial musician and second singer of the community Tatei Kie. Venado has a strong commitment to improving the quality of life for his people.

It is his sixth year since Mara'akame Don Venado opened his ceremonies to a non-Wixárika audience. Since then he has traveled to Colombia, Panama, Costa Rica, El Salvador and various countries in Europe to sing his prayer for the Blue Deer, the main duty of the Wixárika.

🔥 WHO ARE THE WIXÁRIKA? 🔥
The Wixárika are an indigenous community who live in the Sierra Madre Occidental of Mexico in the states of Jalisco, Zacatecas, Durango and Nayarit. They call themselves Wiáritari, which means "the people" and are more commonly known as Huichol, which is the name given to them by the Spanish conquerors. For more than half a century the Wixárika have successfully protected their culture and traditional ways from the encroachment of the Spanish, the Church and the Mexican authorities. They are one of the few cultures whose cosmology, traditions, and practices have remained almost intact since pre-Hispanic times. They preserve their language and social and political structures, reflecting Mexico's enormous and beautiful diversity.

Wixárika spirituality is based on their connection with the elements (earth, wind, fire, water) and the spirits of different sacred places of power located
throughout Mexican territory. They worship the guiding spirit of a plant they call Hikuri, which is at the same time also the Deer (Kauyumari) and Corn (Niwetstika). Every year, they make the pilgrimage to the Wirikuta desert to ask their gods for rain, food, and health for their people and the world. The Wixárika are ruled by a shaman caste, mysterious sorcerers, and warriors who fight epic battles in the supernatural field to resolve worldly or divine problems.

Kauyumari, the Blue Deer, is the spirit who guides the Wixarika people from Mexico and sacrifices himself to transform into Hikuri, with which the Wixárika get in contact with their ancestors, receiving their mercy and guidance to be guardians of our Planet Earth. The rugged environment has allowed the Wixárika to preserve their traditional lifestyle for thousands of years. Their connection to the spiritual world is something inherent to life itself, as it is the way of co-existing in harmony with nature and all of creation.

🔥 ABOUT THIS CEREMONY 🔥
During the ceremony, the Mara'akame sings 5 prayer songs, every time the sun shifts position in the sky, in which he communicates with the Spirits and Guardians of Nature, the Elements, the Spirit of the Deer (Tematsi Kauyumari) and GrandFather Fire (Tatewari).

In our Western cultures, many have lost their way from living in reciprocal relationship with the Gods and the heart-knowing and joy that comes from that. We have forgotten how to listen to the winds
of the four directions. Forgotten how to make offerings to the sacred places and how to cultivate our own heart wisdom as a reliable guide to a good life: living in a balanced vibrant community of humans and other than human peoples.

The healing that comes from this ceremony invites us to begin to remember the old ways.

🔥 ABOUT THE INDIVIDUAL HEALING SESSION 🔥
There is the possibility for individual healing sessions. People who do not want to participate in these ceremonies can also contact us for a healing session with the Mara'akame. There is no guarantee that it will take place, but we will try!

This "Limpia" is recommended to all who are looking for balance, prosperity, harmony and physical, mental and emotional well-being. A session does not last long, but the healing process continues long after the session is over. Therefore, we recommend that you take sufficient rest after the healing. You can receive the healing for yourself and/or for a loved one via a photo.

Venado works with a Muvieri, a sacred wooden arrow with two eagle feathers on it, which gives him information. The healing energy connects via the Muvieri, fills you with life energy and then removes the pathogenic negative energy in the form of small stones/crystals that are removed from the body.

🔥 GENERAL INFORMATION 🔥
The ceremonies will take place in Kasterlee (BE).

The exchange for these ceremonies will be €250 for 1 night and €450 for both nights, which includes an organic breakfast after the ceremony. We highly recommend you to participate in both ceremonies to empower your prayers, to deepen your healing, connection, insights and teachings.

The exchange for a individual healing session is €50,-

🔥 HOW TO SIGN UP? 🔥
You can register for these special ceremonies by sending a DM.

After the registration we will send you all the practical information regarding the ceremonies.
