Two days to dance in and outside the studio with the wind, the sand, the sea, and other moving bodies.

This special Contact Improvisation weekend invites you to step out of the studio and into the living landscape. We will explore movement where it was born — in gravity, weather, rhythm, and relationship. The sound of the waves becomes the music. The dunes become the stage. The sky becomes the ceiling.

Contact Improvisation was always inspired by nature: falling, rolling, spirals, weight sharing, adaptation. In this weekend we reconnect with those origins.

We will explore how the body responds to natural patterns — waves, spirals, the golden ratio, the five elements — and how these forces already live inside our movement.

Expect a beautiful balance of deep practice, playful exploration, and open dancing on the beach.

With two experienced guides

Robin Berkelmans (IG: robinberklmans)
Co-founder of the Contact Improvisation Festival Netherlands and one of the key figures of the Dutch CI community. Robin brings decades of experience, precision, and a deep love for the practice.

Jérôme Meyer
Founder of Flow Fusion, former dancer with Batsheva Dance Company and Netherlands Dance Theatre, and co-founder of CLOUD/Danslab. Jérôme’s approach blends contemporary dance, improvisation, somatic awareness, and creative freedom.

Together they create a supportive, playful, and inspiring learning space.

What you will experience

• A Flow Fusion morning practice to awaken the body and nervous system
• A deep Contact Improvisation masterclass exploring weight, listening, and movement intelligence
• CI jam on the beach with the sunset and sound of the sea
• Time to relax, share meals, and connect with other dancers
• A closing circle to integrate the experience

You do not need to be an expert in Contact Improvisation — but some comfort with movement and physical interaction will help you enjoy the experience more.
