Contact Improvisation Jam connect at the Sea

On Saturday the 23rd of May, we invite you to a special Contact Improvisation Jam. Dance in the dunes, feel the sea, and meet others through movement.

We are proud this jam will be accompanied by two absolute top musicians, master percussionist Joshua Samson together with Leah Uijterlinde, they form a duo of improvising musicians that will take us on a rhythmical journey. Rhythms from the Middle East, Brazil, India and Africa will be woven through a soundscape of sounds and spheres inspired by the environment and the dancers. A very unique experience

Contact Improvisation Jam on the beach — in a special spot where you can see the waves, while dancing in the shelter of the dunes. Fresh air on your face, sand under your feet, and space to explore touch, weight, listening, and play.

Contact Improvisation is a direct and honest way of meeting — beyond words.
Through movement, touch, and shared weight, you connect with others in real time. Whether you know each other or not, the dance creates a space where people can meet as they are: present, responsive, and human.

If you’d like to arrive earlier and already connect, join our potluck from 18:00 (bring something small to share — light food is perfect).
At 19:00, we start together with a short, gentle warm-up led by Jérôme, then the jam opens into free flow until 21:00.
Come as you are: experienced or new, solo or with a friend.

Whether you're an experienced dancer or a beginner, this jam offers an open and inspiring space to experiment with movement, light, and interaction. For a very first time experience we do recommend doing a class first. It is a contact based jam, but you are also welcome to dance on your own.

This event will be a collaboration with TransFlow Fusion and Another Kind of blue!

You don't have to be an experienced contact dancer, but if it's your first time, you'd might like to try out one of our classes first.
This jam is a place to learn, enjoy and explore. To make that safe for everyone, we expect participants to be able to take care of themselves physically and mentally within the setting of the jam. If you have any doubts about whether this event is suitable for you at this time, please get in touch with us beforehand.

Cancellation & Refund
Cancellations are possible up to 72 hours before the start of the event. After that, refunds are no longer available. You are welcome to transfer your ticket to someone else.
