Over dit evenement
Dear women,
Are you looking for a place to celebrate the longest day of the year and learn from the abundance of light on this day? Are you longing for a space to be with women and dedicate time to your life & intentions, looking back, reviewing the present, and looking forward? You are invited.
In the Sister Therapy space we honor this light and invite a ceremonial dose of cacao and an optional micro/macro dose truffel. My love for women coming together and the different medicines is big and devotional. So preparing this ceremony for you comes with great passion and dedication. Spending time with the women in my life has a deeply regulating effect on me, therapeutic. How we share, how we listen, how we move, how we are still, together. Magic, nothing more, nothing less.
This journey is about you and you show and share what you desire with the group. Your boundaries and choices are always respected. Both plant medicines are optional. Leaving one or the other out does not determine the depth and magic of this circle. You are welcome as you are, where ever you are in life. No prior experience required.
On this page you will find all information that you need about the different components that go into this time together. If you have any questions or concerns reading this, please let me know!
Much love,
Maartje

What can you expect?
The ceremony will take 3-4 hours. I like to keep the time variable to ensure nobody leaves with an unfinished process.
- Cacao
An ancient plant medicine from the Amazon, drank by human kind for 5000 years. Raw cacao works gently yet deeply in the body. Its natural theobromine opens the cardiovascular system, increasing blood flow and creating a warm, heart-centered feeling without the sharp spike of caffeine. Compounds such as anandamide and phenylethylamine support subtle states of connection, feeling uplifted, and emotional openness. At the same time, its rich magnesium content relaxes the muscles and soothes the nervous system. Together, these elements create a grounded, embodied clarity that makes cacao a beautiful ally for meditation, intention setting, and ceremonial work.
- Truffels
Another master plant. Truffel works primarily through the serotonin system, temporarily altering perception, emotional processing, and sense of self. The interaction can soften habitual thought patterns and increase neural flexibility, often leading to heightened insight, emotional release, and expanded awareness. Many people experience an increased sense of connection to themselves, others, or nature. In a carefully held ceremonial setting, this shift in consciousness can support deep reflection, healing, and renewed perspective.
When cacao is combined with mushrooms, the experience is often described as both heart-opening and consciousness-expanding. Cacao’s theobromine increases circulation and gently stimulates the cardiovascular system, which can create a warm, embodied foundation. Through its action on serotonin receptors, alters perception and loosens rigid thought patterns, inviting insight and emotional depth.
Because both substances affect mood, perception, and physiology, a carefully held, well-prepared setting is especially important to support safety, integration, and intention.
My prior experience with these plants goes back 5-8 years. When embarking on my holistic journey, truffel was one of the first plants that crossed my path and helped expand my creativity & consciousness around self-discovery. This medicine now has a monthly appearance in my schedule, as I hold space in plant medicine containers around the full moon. Cacao learned me to take accountability for my emotions and teaches me every day how important it is to CLAIM time and space to witness yourself and what you feel. The combination has been life changing!
- Energy work, exercises, rituals and sound healing
My work is rooted in sound, reiki and massage. During the ceremony I will pay close attention to the sensations going on in my own body, which usually tells me a lot about the energy of the group. Based on what I can notice in the collective energy I will provide guidance, songs, rituals or embodiment exercises. These are always optional and at any point you are welcome to say no.
- Sharing and integration
During the ceremony inner wisdom can be found. During the integration and closing of the ceremony, there will be time to share what went through you and listen to the experience of your sisters. Through many circles and ceremonies I have noticed that the biggest alchemy and release can happen when hearing another person express the process you are also going through.

How to prepare and what to bring?
In the days/weeks leading up to the ceremony, think of an intention, question or area in your life where you like to receive wisdom, where you like to let go or let grow. Once you say yes to a ceremony, the ceremony has begun.
On the day:
- Wear a comfortable and layered outfit
- Bring your journal and pen to write down any wisdom or questions
- Bring any items that you would like to place on the altar
- Bring a soul-nurturing, light and vegetarian snack to share (think of soup, crackers and humus, light fruit etc.)
