Deep Time Walk

Join us for a unique experience : a deep time walk in the Amstel Park.

Deep Time Walk is a transformative journey through 4.6bn years of Earth history via a 4.6km guided walk. It is an invitation to view the world differently, encouraging positive action and advocacy for a regenerative Earth.

The Deep Time Walk is a Deep Ecology practice inspired by the Work that Reconnects from Joanna Macy. In deep ecology practices we dive into a more expanded view of time, all the way to the Earth beginnings or the origins of the Universe. This supports expanding our perspective & ecological consciousness and allows us to "Seeing with Ancient Eyes".

The Deep Time Walk itself is a 4.6km walk that was co-created by Dr. Stephan Harding, Deep Ecology Research Fellow at Schumacher College (England) and his MSc student, the geologist Sergio Maraschin in 2007. It builds upon the perennial idea of telling stories across time and space.

We will also weave deep ecology practices into this walk to help integrate this on an experiential and emotional level.
