We are happy to announce that Kaap will transform into a stage for Ecstatic Dance every other Tuesday. This Tuesday the 25th of November we are happy to dance with DJ Caroline S'Jegers ! This is an invitation to immerse yourself in a world of music, dance and free self-expression in a unique free space in Amsterdam (With free parking). A place to be yourself and to connect with yourself and with each other.

About DJ Caroline S'Jegers
Caroline invites you on a free, intuitive dance journey where music carries you and the body speaks. Expect a warm, supportive atmosphere where expression, playfulness, and stillness merge.

As the first female Ecstatic Dance DJ in Europe, Caroline helped build the foundations of the conscious dance scene on this continent. She spins from a wild-hearted place—focusing on what's alive in the moment, on the undercurrent of the whole, on the rhythm that moves between the dancers.

Her sets are also Poetry in Motion: a danceable space where sound, word, and feeling converge. Caroline weaves her own poetry into the music—sometimes live, sometimes from her album Birthing a Forest.

Ecstatic Dance Guidelines:
Ecstatic dance is a magical dance and music journey on a two-hour set by one of our DJ’s. It is both a journey with yourself and with each other, without talking. This allows you to go deeper into your body and make more and better contact with it. This is one of the essential differences with a normal dance or club night. Because you do not fall into talking or chitchat, you can literally end up on another layer or in another dimension and discover other parts of yourself and others. At times even in total ecstasy and bliss, without drugs and without alcohol, and barefoot. Free to dance alone or together. Will you come and create magic with us, play and experiment?


Practical
* Time: Doors open at 18:45h The dance starts at 19:45h and lasts two hours.
* Ceremony: Each session will be introduced and concluded with a ceremony at 19:15h with which we can celebrate the energy of dance and the connection with each other.
