Deep Rest: The Practice of Wintering
A somatic immersion into stillness, softness, and self-renewal.
As winter invites us inward, this day offers space to rest, renew, and reconnect with a quieter rhythm of being. Through gentle somatic movement, embodied awareness, and mindful exploration, we’ll soften patterns of doing or over-thinking and return to the body’s natural intelligence. We’ll explore how presence and ease arise when we allow the body to lead. This is a day to slow down, listen deeply, and discover how coming in to 'being' is the foundation from which to grow.
This day is for you, when you easily feel overwhelmed by the daily hustle and bustle, and you can’t seem to think your way through it. Or when the lack of daylight easily gets you down or if you are clenching up from the cold weather. Let us use the one tool we always have with us: our body. The body is such a wonderful space for exploring, expanding, providing us the answers we need when the mind gets confused. Trusting on the wisdom of our body, we practice to create more awareness, accessing our core source of warmth and softness and allowing deep rest.
Come and join us for this day of meaningful and deep connection within yourself to give room to finding new connections to the world around your with effortless ease. We could not be happier to organise this day at the wonderful location of De Vliegende Olifant in Arnhem. An inspiring place close to Arnhem Central Station, the Sonsbeek Park and the city centre.
We will provide you with all the necessary equipment, mats, cushions, blankets, etc. But your free to bring your own gear of preference. Tea (and coffee), water will be available throughout the day. A simple but heartwarming lunch will be provided as well. Please let us know your dietary wishes in advance.
Are you ready to join this soft easing into the body, connecting to your inner space? Finding the deep rest you need, leaning into this winter energy? And refresh and renew?
