You are invited for an Ecstatic Dance & Co-created Arts journey with DJ Leela, Leila and Vyana. It will be a Saturday afternoon getting together (October 4 from 15-18) to dance and move ecstatically and freely, to meditate, to release what's no longer serving you, and to rest together, with a community potluck-style sharing after to connect deeper with like minded people. It will be in the private and cozy space of iconic Kokopelli overlooking the beautiful canal water in the heart of Amsterdam.
This time we have a special edition/theme with guest artist Vyana from the community to bring her gifts - Musical Singing Poetry, made by her to help us open the hearts together ❤🙏
This gathering is an invitation to open your HEART through poetry, music, and movement. We will begin the journey with a song and poem created and hared by Vyana. From there, Vyana will gently guide us into a short meditation to awaken inspiration and help you begin a simple process of creating your own first lines of a song or story - that speaks your heart and your truth. We will then naturally flow into ecstatic dance, where movement, poetry and songs weave together. You are invited to continue writing your story during, letting both pen and body become channels for expression, shaping your story through rhythm, emotion, and presence in the moment. We will slowly return to stillness with another heart-felt musical poetry piece offered by Vyana, followed by a song we will sing together in unity. To close, there will be plenty of space to share reflections and feelings.
WHAT IS ECSTATIC DANCE?
It is a form of free-style dance that emphasises free movement and authentic expressions, often accompanied by music and sounds that create different waves of a journey. It is a contemporary practice that has evolved over time, drawing on elements of various cultural and spiritual traditions. "The fastest, cleanest, most joyful way to break out of your own box is by dancing." "If you don't do your dance, who will?"

Potluck-style food sharing starts from 17:00-18:00
Please arrive earlier before 15:00 for the opening together
To bring: your own drinks (no alcohol) and any snacks or food you like for yourself and/or to share, any instruments to co-create. Musicians are welcome to join for jamming during and afterwards.
WHO ARE WE?
DJ Leela and Leila are a team in the conscious spaces. It seems no coincidence that they met at an event where Awareness & Exploration were the main ingredients. Both names are derived from Sanskrit as “In our daily experience, embracing the dance of life with a hint of playfulness, including the waves of bright & dark matters and sunshine & rain…” They feel privileged to weave their creativity, gifts and lived experiences into offering their music and arts to you.
They have traveled to 30+ countries, facilitated 70+ Ecstatic Arts and Dance Journeys with different themes, and co-created 120+ pieces of powerful artworks with 3K+ participants during Ecstatic Arts & Dance journeys during the last 4 years. Those artworks are uniquely beautiful, touching and priceless with real people and stories behind, and they can never be duplicated. We believe this is the true value of art. To be remembered and passed around as positive vibration.
