queer full moon sanctuary: resurrection

Welcome, queer kin. Welcome to queer sanctuary: an evening to unravel and practice revealing our unapologetic radiant beings. We welcome your pride and your shame, your grief and your glory, your deepest desires and the parts of you that have closed off.

Come closer to your full being. Come as you are, with your glitter and your rough edges. Take your seat in this circle of belonging. This is a place of awakening. We gather to support, protect, nurture, and feel each other’s full presence and being.

THEME: RESURRECTION - facilitated by Burkhard Körner & shailoh phillips
Having just passed the spring equinox and turning to Easter weekend, for this gathering, we will be tuning into ancient myths and rituals to welcome spring. The goddess Ostara, the phoenix bird rising from the ashes, and the Christian story of resurrection have some things in common: inviting us to rise up and plant seeds for the new season.

What is being born within? What new sprouts are making their way up to the surface? What part of you are ready to rise up and grow?

WHAT TO EXPECT
Experience shared silence, storytelling, music, movement, dance, respectful touch - of course practicing full consent. The energies unleashed in this evening can be sensual, but our practices are non-sexual, authentically and shamelessly expressing our true nature. To explore aspects of our being, we will move with archetypes from ancient queer mythology. In this session we will move from collapse and victimhood to rise up into our power and explore our dreams.

Let’s gather and remind ourselves that we have the medicine within to create a world our hearts know is possible.

WHO IS INVITED

This is an all-gender event that centers around creating a sacred space of belonging for the full spectrum of our shimmering rainbow of LGBTQI+ folks. You don't have to identify as 'queer' or LGBTQI+, but we ask that you are open to exploring the edges of your experience of self and to welcome the raw queer shimmering, genderbending and desires in yourself and others.

ABOUT THE FACILITATORS

shailoh philips (she/they) is an artist, educator and researcher dedicated to listening to the cry for a more beautiful and just world. They have been holding women's temple and queer sanctuary in Amsterdam, bringing in an ancient legacy of music and sacred belonging.

Burkhard Körner is a choreographer who initiates artistic processes with different communities and artists where one can connect to their own desires and urgencies and follow them as their source of creativity.
