Over dit evenement

This weekend you can find inner peace in nature. At Lake Maarsseveen, between the fields and trees, we will go into silence together. We will open our senses, feel the wind between blowing over the lake, hear the movement of the trees branches moving in the wind, looking at the waves on the water and listening inside to our stillness. We would love to share this inner peace with you. You can participate on Sunday or Saturday, or both days and choose your time of arrival.

We will be quiet all day, being aware of our breath, take moments for ourselves, meditate by sitting still, by movement and with breath. These days can be a good way to find out what form of meditation works best for you, so you can create your own rhythm of "mindfulness", in which you learn to accept and appreciate what comes in life.

This is a small scale mixed event, so everybody is welcome, all genders and orientations. You can join for one or two days. There will be a yoga session at 10:00 h and two more meditations during the day. Between them, you can drink tea, read something, make a walk, cuddle or just relax. There will be no evening program, but a shared dinner at the end and overnight on Saturday night is possible.

Facilitators

The meditations are guided by Tijs Breuer, who has been practicing mindfulness and different forms of meditations since he was 15 years old. Eva Breuer is a certified yoga-teacher and is currently studying body-oriented energetical therapy. She happily shares her enthusiasm for yoga through weekly online classes. For her, yoga really is about the state of oneness with all that is. Eva's yoga classes are diverse, with a mix of breath work, flexibility, playfulness and expression.

Healing hands session

Optional, you can book a healing hands session with Eva. She will guide you into a beautiful space of stillness and surrender. By placing her hands on your body, you can relax, let tension dissolve and come to a place of deep trust. Eva works intuitively, using her hands as a vessel for healing energy. Stuck emotions can come up, energy blocks can dissolve; we welcome all that is present.

9:30 h Arrival / tea / coffee / opening circle

10:00 h Yoga

Yoga with Eva is not just about yoga postures. I see yoga as a way to connect to your inner self, your voice of wisdom deep inside. Knowledge resides in your body. By deepening your connection to your body, you come more and more home in yourself and in the connection with that inner voice of truth. This is also where you find trust, that everything is exactly as it's meant to be and you're carried by life. We start the class with a guided meditation, before going into some breathwork (pranayama). This will allow us to focus deeper and to move energetic blockages. Shaking will move the energy through our whole body. Then the yogic postures (asana's) will help you to become more flexible, get more strength and connect to your body. At the end there will be relaxation in silence.

12:30 h Lunch (a salad and soup is served, feel free to bring food to share).

13:30 h Breathing meditation

Connecting to your breath can damp down stress and open a door to a more healthy and mindful lifestyle. One of the easiest ways to reduce stress is to simply focus your attention on your breath. You'll notice an immediate sense of relaxation that could help protect your health over time. There are many forms of breathing meditation where you consciously change the rhythm, speed or depth of your breath.

16:00 h Metta Loving Kindness Meditation

Loving-kindness meditation is an expression of what you wish most deeply for yourself, not just for today, but in an enduring way. If you speak this wish inside yourself, you can fill your heart with self-love. By thinking about others, you can share this love and expand the feeling. The meditation is in the form of a mantra, by repeating simple phrases that are big enough and general enough that you can wish them for all beings everywhere. Classical phrases are things like, “May I live in safety. May I be happy. May I be healthy.”

17:00 h Sharing and closing circle (you can share how you are feeling).
