Over dit evenement
Come and celebrate the longest day of the year with an embodied midsummer celebration!
Whether you arrive full of energy and play, or soft, quiet, and a little unsure — you’re welcome, just as you are. This evening is your playground. A chance to follow your curiosity, connect with others, and let summer move through your body.
We’ll begin by gently landing in the space together, with some playful and grounding practices to help you tune into yourself and those around you — feeling into your boundaries, your desires, and your “yes” and “no.”
Then: open space! You’ll be free to follow your impulses in a setting with different zones to explore.
Want to simply watch? Cuddle? Get creative? Try out some Impulse Play (see below)? Go for it — your pace, your way.
To close the evening, we’ll gather around the fire in the garden to mark the solstice and reflect on what this turning point might open up in you.
We’ll close together at the fire, after which you can choose to stick around for ecstatic dance, unwind, or drift into the night on your own terms.
This evening is for you’d love to:
> Be yourself unapologetically in relation to others
> Follow your impulses and discover what feels good
> Drop out of your head and into your body
> Be seen and celebrated — just as you are
> Honouring your HELL YES’es and NO’s and those of others
What you can expect in short:
- A playful and connecting evening rooted in consent
- A soft landing into your body and the group
- A space and structure that allows to navigate the space at your own rhythm (be it slow or fast)
- A platonic open space with designated areas (for example for impulse play and cuddles)
- A lighthearted fire ritual to honour midsummer
- An optional ecstatic dance to extend the fun!
<><> ABOUT PLATONIC INTIMACY <><>
Touch is one of our most basic human needs — and platonic touch can be deeply nourishing. It tells our nervous system: you’re safe.
At the same time, touch can bring up questions — about boundaries, consent, and what’s okay. In this space, we create clear agreements so there’s room to explore without pressure.
Clothes stay on. Touch only happens with clear mutual consent. No genital touch or tongue kissing. And if touch isn’t a yes for you at all, that’s completely welcome too. Your no is part of what makes this space safe and alive.
<><> ABOUT IMPULSE PLAY <><>
Impulse Play is a non-verbal somatic and relational practice that creates a space for play and self-development. It is characterised by a structure that allows for a discovery of what feels good without a predetermined plan or goal. Move away from acting based on beliefs, thoughts, or judgements and into what is alive simply because it feels good. Impulse Play can be practiced solo, in duos or in a group and provides an opportunity to get in touch with your primal nature. Being wild and energetic or slow and sensual. Being in harmony or in contrast. Being an observer or being observed. Through this practice you’ll learn to attune both to your inner impulses and how to navigate expressing them consensually, without having to rely on words.
<><> ABOUT YANA <><>
Yana guides like she lives: with dedication, curiosity and joy. In both her art and work, the freedom to experience, experiment and explore follows form a solid and intentional foundation. Her teachings are distilled from a wide array of lived experience and formal training that are based in paradigms from the West and from the East: she holds a BSc in Clinical Psychology, a MSc in Methodology and Statistics and is also trained in Yoga, Tantra and Taoism. She has been teaching since 2007, in varying fields. Yana loves the paradoxical nature of life, actively seeking contrasts and welcoming the beauty which underlies that which tends to be seen as 'ugly' or 'undesirable'. She bridges the subtle to the tangible: by giving pragmatic and practical tools that help you integrate thinking, feeling and being. Yana empowers you to overcome internalised judgements and live your most authentic expression, all while honouring your own pace.
