Circle of Life
Workshop ‘Inspired Leadership’ with Mac Macartney
Tuesday 28 March, 11.00 - 15.00 (Including Lunch)
We are happy to announce that Mac Macartney will host a workshop on Inspired leadership for the Circle of Life.
Workshop Inspired Leadership
The overwhelmingly disruptive environment of the 21st century offers many opportunities rarely glimpsed in more settled times. With all its challenges, uncertainties, and risks, we are entering a time of profound change. It requires a new form of leadership. Leadership that adheres to principles and values supporting wise and courageous action. And true inspiration is to be the bedrock upon which our leadership is grounded. The workshop 'Inspired Leadership' explores these themes, enquires into the experience of those present, offers questions that may yield insights, and extends an invitation to all those who wish to see their life’s mission as an engine of positive change. Mac encourages us to deepen spiritually and find the leader in ourselves, the leader who takes courageous action for a better world. He calls this the Twin Trail.
What can you expect
We will welcome you with open arms at Salon Ruigoord. There is place for 20 participants. A vegetarian lunch, coffee and thee are included. There will be plenty of time for connecting and walking around the creative community Ruigoord. If you also like to join the evening program with Mac and need a place to work in between both sessions let us know.
Mac Macartney
Over a period of twenty years, Mac was mentored by a group of indigenous elders. During this training and ever since, he has attempted to bring two worlds together – an ancient world-view that emphasises relationship, interdependence, and reverence for life, with the significant challenges and opportunities of the twenty-first century.
Mac is an international speaker, writer and leadership practitioner with over thirty years’ of experience in people and organisation development. Alongside his extensive experience of working with organisations, he also founded Embercombe, a social enterprise located in the south west of the UK, which seeks to explore and promote the profound regeneration of land, society, and people.
His work with organisations has included supporting Unilever’s Sustainable Living Plan, speaking engagements with RFK (Robert Kennedy) Human Rights Business Summit, Accenture, and Livingbridge (Private Equity), amongst many others. Mac was a member of Danone North America’s Advisory Committee and he has also sat on the sustainability advisory panels for Lafarge, Lend Lease, and Procter & Gamble. He currently sits on the board of The Climate School.
All of Mac’s work is focused towards the emergence of a just, peaceful, regenerative, and flourishing future for all species. Mac uses storytelling as the primary means of conveying questions and a way of living that could bring society back to its senses – as Charles Eisenstein once wrote, “the more beautiful world our hearts know is possible”.
