Over dit evenement
A gentle class designed to release deep-seated tension and stress from the body and mind, with a special focus on the hips and lower back.
In Restorative Yoga, we use props like cushions, blankets, and blocks to fully support the body, allowing you to stay longer in each position and sink into a state of deep relaxation. In this XL class, we take more time and space to unwind than in regular sessions.
This edition’s theme is Hips and lowback. In many traditions, the hips are seen as a storage space for unprocessed feelings, especially those related to safety, stability, and our sense of belonging. This area is closely linked to the root and sacral chakras, energy centers connected to our basic needs, creativity, and relationships. When life brings us stress, fear, or unresolved experiences, it’s often the hips that quietly tighten and protect.
The lower back, on the other hand, often symbolizes support — both the support we receive from others and the way we support ourselves. Tension here can reflect feelings of being overburdened, lacking security, or carrying responsibilities that feel too heavy.
We may also use mantras and gentle chanting to harmonize the energy and deepen the experience.
Take this time as your well-deserved ‘me time.’
This session is open to all levels, from complete beginners to experienced relaxers.
