Upon arrival I was warmly greeted by the hosts Marco and Ymke.
A warm and welcoming space was there along with 9 other participants. We exchange greetings, introductions and tea. This was my first time in a rope workshop so i was very interested to see how it would go.
We started with a quick introductory round of introducing ourselves and a brief sharing of our experiences, some of the group had some previous experience. Then there was a demo of how the ropes would work, and also how to be present with your partner and the energetic side of the work we would do.
~ A beautiful demonstration was given with a very loving presence.~
The workshop started with an introduction to the work with a brief description of its origin and history. After this we were straight into the actual rope work, practicing the knots and tying on our own limbs until we felt confident and familiar enough to start practicing with other people.
The hosts were very patient and willing to show the knots and rope work until we had all grasped the basics. After this we we started with some rope play. I was quite intrigued as to what might come up for me when i was being tied myself. I was so grateful that my partner was able to hold me in my process.
We had a sharing at the end of the workshop which was great to hear other peoples experiences and share ourselves.
I would thoroughly recommend anyone who is interested in this work to attend a workshop with these two beautiful beings.
A truly wonderful safe space was provided by Marco and Ymke for people to explore this work in a fun and loving way.
I certainly will be attending again as I thoroughly enjoyed it.
